LuAnne Anderson - 10 Red Assistant
LuAnne has coached high school volleyball at the varsity level for 12 years.  She is currently the varsity coach at Clay City High School.  The Lady Eels claimed their first ever sectional title and regional title for volleyball in 2011 under Coach Anderson.  Lu Anne played 4 years of varsity volleyball in high school and then became a volleyball official while attending Purdue University.  Lu Anne is currently a teacher at Clay Community Schools and resides in Linton with her husband, Brent, and their 3 children.  This is Lu Anne’s first year coaching club volleyball.

Crystal Baker - 14 White

Crystal Baker comes to COA from Bloomington, IN where she has coached 13's and 14's for the last 3 seasons at Pantera volleyball club. Before that, she coached at St. Charles middle school for both the 7th and 8th grade teams. She was a two year letter winner at Rhodes College in Memphis, TN as a middle blocker and was voted Honorable Mention All-American in 2006. She played basketball and volleyball at the varsity level in college, and played on the club volleyball team at Indiana University from 2009-2011. Crystal lives in Terre Haute with her husband, Jon, and is excited to join the COA program in hopes for a successful club season.

Stephen Beeler16 Red and Club Co-Director

Steve coached 13 seasons of volleyball at Terre Haute South, 6 as the head coach. In those six seasons he guided the program to over 120 wins, two sectional championships, produced 2 Indiana All-Stars, and sent 10 players on to collegiate programs, many of them Division 1.  He, with Brian Payne,  is a co-founder of the club and the 16 Red coach.  Steve was brought into volleyball coaching through the boys program at Terre Haute South that started in 1997. In 14 total seasons of high school coaching, he has been on the coaching staff of 6 sectional championship teams. He is currently taking a break from the high school scene and has coached the last 2 fall seasons at North Central Junior High. Steve will be the head coach for the 16 Red team as well as the supervising coach for all 16's and 18's age divisions. He has coached club for 13 years and has produced one two time AAU All-American. 

Jim Bertoli

Bertoli is a graduate of Ball State University. He enjoyed part-time coaching positions at Bishop Chatard High School, Grand Valley State College and Zone Six Volleyball Club before becoming head coach of men's volleyball at Dartmouth College in 1991 and followed his stint there with positions as head coach of women's volleyball at the University of New Orleans (1991-1995) and Montana State University (1995-1997) before ending his collegiate coaching career at Indiana State University (1997-2003). During his years in the coaching profession, his collegiate programs received numerous awards and recognition from Athletic Management Magazine , The NCAA News, Volleyball Magazine and Coaching Volleyball Magazine. Bertoli was the master of ceremonies for the 2002 American Volleyball Coaches Association All-American Banquet and has been a featured speaker at numerous events including the Indiana State University Recreation & Sport Management Symposium, Leadership Wabash Valley and the American Volleyball Coaches Association conventions. Bertoli served on the American Volleyball Coaches Association Board of Directors from 2001 to 2003. He has been published twice with, Skills & Drills for Volleyball and Marketing & Promotions for Volleyball. Bertoli current sits on the board of directors for Crossroads of America Volleyball Club. He resides in Riley, Indiana with his wife, Pam and their three boys, Anthony, Ben & Jackson.

Kelsey Boyll - 16 Red Assistant

Kelsey Boyll is in her last semester at Ivy Tech. She grew up in Farmersburg, Indiana and attended North Central Junior Senior High School. She has been playing volleyball since 7th grade and was a letterman in Varsity volleyball 3 years. She coached the 8th grade at North Central Jr High for one year and St. Patrick’s JV team this past year. This will be her third year coaching for COA.

Yevette Cress - 14 Blue

Yevette is returning to coaching this year after several seasons. She is originally from Mishawaka, IN and has played volleyball since she was 10. She has coached several middle school teams in northern Indiana and at Sullivan. She was the Dean of a southern Michigan volleyball camp coaching high school players for several years. She currently works as the Coordinator of Union Sports Medicine and is a certified athletic trainer and doctor of physical therapy. She lives in Terre Haute with her husband Kevin, and is excited to return to coaching and have a great season.

Morgan Dall - 18 Red Assistant

Morgan is from Aviston, Illinois and graduated from Mater Dei Catholic High School in 2009. During High school, she lettered in volleyball for three years and led the team to third place finish in Illinois State Tournament in 2008. She was named to Belleville East Classic all-tournament team and Belleville News Democrat All-Area first team in the 2008 season. She was also named Most Improved on her high school team her junior year. In 2008, she played in 88 games with 208 kills in 407 attacks with 175 blocks (60 solo). Morgan played two years on Southwest Illinois Volleyball Club where they finished third at Junior Olympics in 2008 and qualified for 18 open division at Northern Lights Qualifier in 2009. Morgan is currently a junior at ISU studying Athletic Training and playing in her third season as a starter on the women’s volleyball team. She was ranked nationally for kills per set last year as a sophomore outside hitter.  This is Morgan’s first year with COA and will be assistant coaching the 18 red team. She is very excited to get the season underway in hopes of having a great year.

Zach Fitzgerald - 14 Black

Zachary was born in LaGrange, Illinois, but lived most of his early childhood in northern New Jersey. In New Jersey as a young child, he started getting involved into sports. He first played soccer at the age of 4. He also played basketball, baseball, and football on competitive levels throughout his childhood.  Ever since he could run around, he has been involved in a sport in almost every season. After his graduation from junior high, he moved to Fishers, Indiana where he first played and competed on a club volleyball team for Hamilton Southeastern High School. He played volleyball for all four years of High School. He also played for a 17s team for Indiana Volleyball Academy (IVA). Zachary is currently a freshman at Indiana State, majoring in Criminology. He plays for the volleyball club at Indiana State. This is his first time as a coach, however, he has helped as a manager for various sporting teams while in High School. He is undoubtedly stoked for the upcoming season.

Corey Frink -16 Blue

Corey is making a comeback into coaching after some time off. He coached for COA for 5 years and was the Junior Varsity coach at Terre Haute South High School for 3 seasons. He is excited to get back into coaching and plans on having a great season!

Courtney Hull - 16 Blue Assistant

Courtney Hull is currently a sophomore at Indiana State University majoring in Psychology. Courtney is From Terre Haute, Indiana and graduated from Terre Haute South Vigo High School in 2010 where she played volleyball for four years. She also played four seasons of COA volleyball. Courtney was an assistant volleyball coach at the Terre Haute Boys and Girls Club in the spring of 2008 and 2009. This is her first Year coaching COA volleyball, and is very excited for this upcoming season!

Heather Ireland - 12 White

Heather Ireland started her volleyball career playing for Woodrow Wilson.  She lettered all three years at Terre Haute North as a setter, played in the WVVC Volleyball Club and received a scholarship to play at Marian College.   She coached for the Metro South League for the fourteen, sixteen, and eighteen age brackets.   She recently became interested in coaching elementary age children while completing a season at the Boys and Girls Club.   Heather is very excited about her first year coaching for COA!

Emily Kennedy - 10 Red

Emily is from Terre Haute, IN, where she attended Terre Haute North Vigo HS, class of 2002.  While in high school she participated in 3 years of volleyball, 3 seasons of club volleyball and 4 years of track.  After high school, she attended Indiana State University and continued to play volleyball recreationally in various leagues.  Upon graduating ISU in 2006, she began her coaching career by assisting at Honey Creek Middle School.  This will be Emily’s 5th year at COA, where she has assisted the Elementary School League, the Training Team, and coached travel teams for both 14 & under and 12 & under. 

Anna Lewer - 13 Red

Anna Lewer is a junior majoring in biomedical engineering at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. She attended high school at Lutheran High School of Indianapolis, and lettered in Varsity Volleyball all four years. Her team won Sectionals all four years, twice finishing as Regional Runners-Up. Her Senior Year, Anna captained her team to the State Finals, and also won the Mental Attitude Award, First Team All-State, and Academic All-State. She played club volleyball for Circle City for three years, finishing her 18-1’s year placing fifth in the nation at the USAV National Tournament in open . Anna just completed her third year playing outside hitter for Coach Goble as a fighting engineer. This year,  Anna served as a captain for the 1st time conference champions, where she received MVP of the conference tournament. Also, Anna was named to the 1st-team all-conference team for the third consecutive year. Anna’s Freshmen year, she received the Freshman-of-the-Year award. This is Anna’s second year coaching the 13 Red.

Taylor Lock -12 Black

Taylor Lock is a freshman at Indiana State University and is studying nursing.  She attended Honey Creek Middle School where she played all three years and South Vigo High School where she played all four years.  She lettered Varsity Volleyball for three years in high school and her team won sectionals three out of four years as well.  Taylor played club volleyball for COA for six years and was always on the one’s team.  She then played for Circle City in Plainfield for three years where she was the captain of two of her teams.  She led two of these teams with the most kills and one with the most digs.  Currently, Taylor is playing volleyball intramurals and next year she will play for ISU’s club team.  

Heather McCoskey - 12 Blue

Heather is a 1995 graduate of North Central High School in Farmersburg Indiana and also of Longs Beauty Academy the same year. Heather played volleyball at Farmersburg Elementary and also at NC her freshman and sophomore year. After that time she went to Longs during her junior and senior years and was unable to play sports. Heather was a coach for Jr. High volleyball at the boys and girls club for two years and has coached at North Central  Jr. and Sr. High for three years.
Heather lives in Terre Haute, with her husband Scott,  and two daughters.

Erika McGuire - 13 Red

Erika McGuire is currently a junior Biomedical Engineer at Rose-Hulman. She graduated in 2009 from Warren Central HS in Indianapolis, IN. Erika has played volleyball year-round for 9 years. She was co-captain both her freshman and senior years. She received the Most-Improved award her sophomore year and the Leadership award her senior year. Erika was named part of the 2009-2010 All-County and Academic All-State teams. She just completed her junior volleyball season as a right-side hitter and defensive specialist at Rose. This is Erika’s second year coaching for COA 13 Red.

Stephanie Millington - 14 Red Assistant

Stephanie is beginning her 2nd season with COA. She previously assisted with the 18 Red and 13 Red teams.  She also was a volunteer assistant at Villanova University during the 2010 season and coached for PVA in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  Stephanie is from Cross Plains, Wisconsin where she graduated high school in 2005 from Wisconsin Heights High School. While in high school, Stephanie was a four year letter winner in volleyball.  She attended Indiana State University and was a member of the Lady Sycamore volleyball team all four years of college. Stephanie played 5 years of club volleyball for Wisconsin Select in Madison, Wisconsin.  Currently, Stephanie is a nurse at Union Hospital. She resides in Terre Haute with her husband, Daniel. 

Madison Minnick - 14 Red

Madison is beginning her 6th season with COA. This will be her second year coaching 14 Red. Madison is currently the head coach at Terre Haute South. Madison has been a life-long resident of Terre Haute, Indiana and graduated in 2005 from Terre Haute South. While at South, Madi earned three varsity letters in volleyball and two in basketball. She then attended Indiana State University and was a member of the Lady Sycamores Volleyball team. In the fall of 2006, Madison transferred to Oakland City University to continue her volleyball career. She had a record breaking season at OCU. The Lady Oaks placed 6th at the NCCAA National Tournament. Madison finished her playing career by being named the Mideast Player of the Year and 2nd team All-American. Currently, Madison is a special education teacher at Honey Creek Middle School. She resides in Terre Haute with her husband, Mark.

Steve Montgomery - 12 Red and 18 White Assistant

Steven is from Dayton Ohio where he graduated from Chaminade Julienne high school in 2008. He was a three year letter winner and captain his senior year. He also played club for six years (Dayton jrs. and Air City). Afterwards attended Sinclair community college where he graduated in 2010 with an associate degree in applied science. While in Dayton he spent one year as a freshman coach at his alma mater and four years as an 8th grade coach. Steven after graduation transferred as a junior to Indiana State studying automotive engineering and technology education and is an active member of the men’s volleyball club.B

Brian Payne - 12 Red and Club Co-Director

Brian is a former head coach at Terre Haute South. While there, he led the team to three sectional titles and over 200 wins. He began playing volleyball competitively in 1987 while in high school. He has competed in the White River Park State Games and at the Boys' USVBA Nationals as a junior player. He then went on to be a part of the IPFW Men's Collegiate program for two years. He eventually finished his degree from Indiana State University. Along the way, he has been coaching club since 1991, when the local club was 'WVVC' under the direction of then ISU coach Rhonda Woodward. Along with Steve Beeler, they started what is today COA, and hope for success stories for the teams and individuals in future years.

Nick Polite - 18 Red

Nick is from Valparaiso, Indiana where he graduated high school in 2007 from Washington Township. While in high school, Nick was a four year letter winner in boy’s volleyball. He was part of the Porter County Conference All-Conference team for two years, was the Porter County Conference MVP his senior year, and helped lead his team to an 18-0 record his senior year. He also was a three year letter winner in basketball and track. He is currently a senior at Indiana State University majoring in Mathematics Education. He was a member and Co-founder of the Indiana State Men's Volleyball Club and was a practice player for the Indiana State Women's Volleyball team for the 2009 and 2010 seasons. This year Nick was brought on staff at ISU where he traveled with the team and worked to develop ISU’s hitting and blocking. Nick played 3 years of club volleyball for Dunes Volleyball Club, in Northern Indiana, where he also did a few years of coaching for Dunes. This is Nick’s third year at COA and last year he was the assistant to the 14 red and 18 red teams. He is very excited about taking the helm of the 18 red team this year and looks forward to a great season with them.

Jordan Sandoe - 14 Blue Assistant

Jordan Sandoe is a Junior at Indiana State University as an Exercise Science major. He is from Selma, IN where he graduated from Wapahani High School. Jordan has been playing volleyball for 13 years. During Jordan's high school career he lettered all 4 years while taking his team to the state tournament his freshman and junior years. During Jordan's senior year he was the captain for his team and was selected to be on the All-State team as a setter. Since graduating high school Jordan has become a member of the Indiana State Men's Volleyball Club and now president of the club. Jordan has coached 1 year at Terre Haute South HS under Steve Beeler as a volunteer assistant coach during the 2009 season. He has coached back home at WHS as the JV head coach and Varsity assistant in the Spring 2011 season where the varsity team traveled to a tournament at State College, PA and placed 6th out of 30 teams at the tournament. While at State College Jordan attended a Coach's Clinic put on the by the USA Men's National Team Coaches. Jordan is very excited to join the COA community coming from a big volleyball community himself.

Kristen Seaton - 16 Gold

Kristen is currently working on her Master’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies at Indiana University. She is starting her second year coaching for the club, but played for the club for seven years. She graduated from Terre Haute South where she lettered in volleyball all four years and earned second team all-state honors as a senior and was selected to the All-Star team. She was selected as a member to the 2003 USA High Performance A2 camp and was on the A2 Team in 2004. Kristen continued her career at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California. She struggled with injuries during her time there, but graduated with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology in April 2011. She finished her eligibility playing as a graduate student at Indiana University during the 2011 fall season. Kristen helped assist with the 16 Red team that finished 27th out of 175 teams at the AAU Nationals last year and she will be coaching the 16 Gold team this year. 

Jessica Sell - 14 White Assistant

Jessica is a Junior at Indiana State majoring in elementary education. This is her first time coaching volleyball. Jessica played 3 years of volleyball while at South High School and 3 years with COA. She is really looking forward to coaching and excited for what her first season will bring.

Madison Steward - 12 Black

Madison Steward is a freshman at ISU with a major in Criminology. She has been playing volleyball for nine years. Madison has played every year for COA except for her fifteens year, she traveled to Circle City. Her 12's team was the first COA team to make it to the Junior Olympics; after that year she had many other successful seasons with her COA team. Outside of COA she played at Terre Haute South Vigo High School and lettered Varsity all four years. At Terre Haute South she was acknowledged for recieving the most kills in a season. Also, her team attended regionals three out of four years. Madison is very excited to start her first year of coaching!

Jennifer Sutherlin - 18 White

Jennifer is from Covington, IN and graduated from Covington High School.  During high school she was a 4 year letter winner in volleyball, basketball, and softball.  She played for the Lafayette Area Volleyball Club for 3 years.  She went on to play at Indiana State from 1998-2001.  Jennifer coached at Covington High School for 2 years and at Schlarman Academy in Danville, IL for 6 years as an assistant.  Currently she is an Accountant at Walgreens Corporate Office and resides near Perrysville, IN with her husband Doug and daughter Alex.  She also has a step-daughter, Raeann who plays COA.  After taking a couple years off from coaching at the high school level Jennifer is excited to coach a club team!
